TEDS Consortium
The mission of the TEDS Consortium is to facilitate and promote development and sharing of ideas and concepts that have practical application for development and improvement of TEDS products in order to maximize the potential for Talent Management solutions. It's been called fascinating, innovative and a highly successful example of intelligent and relevant partnering. One of the company's strongest resources, the TEDS Consortium is comprised of human capital development and management experts from over a dozen world-class customers. Group members represent a wide range of industries, all requiring rapid and thorough responses to their real-world experiences. This active dialogue consistently positions TEDS in the forefront of meaningful product innovation and exemplary customer service. Now meeting twice a year, the Consortium is the only organization of its kind.
The Consortium, founded in 1991, arose as a result of two major factors: the success of CBM Technologies, Inc. in building and implementing the industry's first learning management system-the TEDS LMS-and the company's long history of customer-based technology solutions. During the initial design stage of TEDS, company executives surveyed managers and training administrators across industry lines to develop a "wish list" of the functionalities they needed in one people resource management system. After its groundbreaking LMS installation in 1991, the TEDS executive team proceeded to institute a dynamic, collaborative workforce management forum for the discussion and improvement of multiple best practices among world-class companies. And so was born the TEDS Consortium.
In practical terms, the TEDS Consortium-in conjunction with TEDS®, Inc.-may direct the formation of Task Teams to review and upgrade existing functionalities or recommend the creation of new human capital software. Together with the Consortium, the Task Teams provide strategic direction and expertise for the continuous improvement of TEDS products and services, not to mention bolstering an ongoing commitment to the visionary evolution of Talent Management tools.
